Add to crazy97's post : "Starting problem"

Hi,

since 2 years now I changed my tranny and get starting problem (5-10 sec to start). I read and follow and install exactly crazy97's gounding kit.

Wasn't the problem. So, i decided to remove all the big screws engine/tranny. They're paint to prevent the rust....

So , I sand every single screws (even the tread) , put dielectric grease, sand the tranny parts and inside the tread AND IT STARTS like a new.

Conclusion : Even if I've the grounding kit, the electricity cant pass trow the tranny to the engine block, because it was too resistive; the grounding kit was putting all the power back to the battery(kind of loop). The tranny need to work with the engine on every points. Not just under and on the starter. (btw my tranny was plugged also on the oem engine ground)

Do it, takes me 20 minutes.

Good luck

Hey glad it worked. It makes sense.I added it in the link on the first page...Did you have any leaking problems after all the screws were removed and replaced?

No leaking, because I did it one by one. So the seal didnt move.

It can work for some one, but I tried it and nothing. Like I said, I suppose that the tranny need to be ground on the block.
Just the grounding kit help, but it makes a loop and return directly to the battery.

If you have no contact at all with the block ( because of paint or corrosion) the grounding kit isnt enough. Like my case (rare).

They have paint on them and don't conduct electricity very well is my guess.

What seal? Are you talking about the bellhousing to block bolts?
