new PB at 1/4 yayyyyyy!!

rundown:
5speed trans. mods are y-pipe, cat-back, TS ECU, Motostorm UDP. bfgoodrich traction t/a street tires on 16" 5-spokes @ 24psi, tokico illuminas set at stiffest setting in the front
race weight was 3,186 lbs w/driver

It was a great day at 71* but there were many delays. 1st run was my best. The other 2 I spun out in the hole and the other I missed 3rd gear. I think I can pull off a 14.6 or maybe a 14.5. I just can't get my 60's in the 2.2s

best time out of 3 runs

60' - 2.345
ET - 14.803 @ 93.52mph

air down those DR's, i run my street tires(at the track) at 22-25psi, you ought to be running lower than that. would probly help with that 60'

traction T/As aren't DRs. they are normal radials. I am considering getting some DR's though.

oooh i read that a little too quick i guess. maybe try lower still though . with some practice you can be pulling 2.2xx's. you doing a burnout in the water box? seems to work for me

yeah it really is a preference thing. i would suggest making a number of passes each way and decide what you like best

i've been looking for other maxima's with similar times to mine and i can't find any. so i was wondering what my 1/4 mile time might be... my mods are headers and full exhaust and intake and stage one clutch. my best time to date is....

r/t .3292
60' 2.1263
330' 6.0186
1/8 9.2607 @76.63
1000' 11.8420 @88.64

i've got a 97 max with 5 speed. i'm running with regular street tires. would it be low 14's?

i ran this run this past saturday . weather was perfect.

thanks!

I just looked at one of my old slips and with a 9.3 60 and a 11.99 1000 my 1.4 was 14.27 @98.49

So, ya you should get a low 14

Good run Konak85.

Hey you should look in the TIMESLIPS database. Most people post all of their details there and that should give you an even better idea of what you'll run.

My best low 14 run is shown below, but that's a freakin 2.30 60 foot. 1/8 mile on that was 80 mph.

my 13.8 run had a 2.07/2.1(Can't remember, look at my slip in database to confirm) 60 ft, and 79 mph 1/8

But yeah, I'd say most likely mid 14's but possible low 14's since your 60 foot time is so good.

members who submit non maxima cars minus A32, A33 Cefiros, and the Infiniti Line in the USA like I30T should be banned for one week. and fake times or meaningless times for two weeks. its a great tool but once it continues to be filled with nonsense it will be worthless.

I strongly second this. I even started a thread before about this but it was just ignored lol. There should be an option to delete a timeslip if it's considered fake by at least 10-20 org members. That'd be nice.

but your definatly right. if there's a ton of fake ones on there then it doesn't do any good.

Oh no don't get me wrong man. This message is not aimed towards you. Look at the Timeslip database, it's obvious who's and what times are fake....

Mods please clean up the timeslip database. It's getting pretty annoying, do sorts by 1/4 mile ET and 60' and get rid of the crappola at the top please. The timeslip database should be moderated - ie nothing can be put up on the database unless it goes through moderator approval first. Other forums do it this way to keep the crap out.
