F/S: '01 AE Auto trans w/ VLSD
SOLD
Trans came off an '01 AE with ~60k miles and has VLSD.
I want to sell this local, will deliver if you are on the way to Sac or LA. I might consider shipping, but would have to find out a price, shipped price would be more. Will bolt up to a 4th gen, you will need a driver side LSD axle.
Looking for $400 obo. Money order only, no paypal.
As of right now I am not shipping, its just going to be too expensive. As of right now Im just selling this locally until I can find a reasonably priced way to ship it. By local I mean Sac to LA, I make trips to both and can deliver.

Vlsd 4 Sure
Good price man really good
I thought you needed the drivers side axle though.
You can tell by the drivers side axle seal (bigger)that it is a vlsd.

Well shipping looks like it is going to be ridiculous. Im going to continue looking for a decently priced way to ship it, but for now Im going ot have to limit this to local guys only. By local I mean Sac to LA .

It's usually cheaper if you ship to a business instead of to a residence, in my experience.
I'm interested, I have a VLSD installed now, but I suspect my 3.5 update will be hard on transmissions, so I'm looking for another. Yours sounds good - but I'm in Kansas.
Edit - maybe you could find a local yard that could palletize (sp ?) and ship the tranny for a few extra bucks?

Vlastic, I might be interested. Sorry, I am a little ignorant with limited slip. What are the exact benefits? Are you sure this will bolt right on my '99? I know you mentioned needing a driver side LSD axel, is that all I would need? Would you be able to meet in L.A.? Thanks.

Sorry for the delay, I finally got a shipping quote.
Using Forward Air Freight it would cost about $85 shipped anywhere and they do provide tracking. The only thing though is that they do not deliver, it gets dropped off at their "terminal" and then you would have to pick it up. If anyone is still interested I could probably have it ready by this weekend or early next week. I just need to source a pallet and tie it down.

Sorry, totally overlooked this.
The benefit of a limited slip is that the transmission is giving equal power to both wheels so you get better traction off the line. The transmission will bolt right up to your 4th gen, its the same motor. Ive read about a bunch of other people putting 5th gen autos into 4th gens, all they had to do was a little bit of electrical work like rewireing some sensors, not entirely sure. I have a thread saved a while back about putting this into a 4th gen but I dont know where it went. You will need an LSD driver side axle but if my friend still has his then I will include it. I would be able to bring the transmission with me on ym next trip to LA, but Im not sure when that will be, but with this freight company, shipping isnt really an issue now.

O.k., thanks. Could you please get back to me regarding your next trip to L.A. and if your friend still has his axle? If this fits in a 4th gen, then I am very interested. I could meet you in L.A. any weekend. Thanks!
