They are port matched and NOT gasket matched. All gaskets have ports that are oversized. When companies make spacers that are gasket matched, that is a bad thing and it hurts airflow even worse than stock. But the Nissan Works spacers are port matched, which means a better transition from one manifold to another.
Also, you won't have to change intake gaskets again since it eliminates the need for OEM gaskets. The spacers should last you a lifetime since they are made of a VERY durable phenolic laminate that can withstand up to 300 degrees easily.
So, once I conduct some dyno testing on the 00 and 01 Maxima, I will be able to determine if spacing the runners on the IM would be beneficial.

Not to sound like a di$$ but isnt $215 plus shipping regular price? I thought it was a group buy special. I just bought a couple of things and want this to be my next mod but wont rush if its regular price. I liked what I read about this product and have actaully link your product to other sites.

I'm sorry, but the price is $225 plus $10 shipping. This is not a group deal. I just posted this thread as a sponsor.
Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'm more than happy to help.

I was thinking about purchasing this product for my 03 Max but I am having doubts. I was looking over the instructions and it seems they might be a little over my head. I asked around in the Northeast section, if there were any installers in my area that could do this install but got no response.
Aaron, do you think if I can’t find a car enthusiast shop, that a regular shop would install these. Also, about how much would they charge in your opinion?
Thanks for the info,
Jesse

But even on the 6th gens, where the clearance is VERY tight, there are no major problems even if you have a FSTB.

A few people on this forum have already installed these spacers along with the Kinetix IM with good results.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Well I finally got the kit installed by Kev at Goodwin Motorsports. He did a very good job. I got it done last Sun. and just rode around these past few days trying to decide how well this modification did.
From the butt dyno, I definitely can tell a difference when getting on the highway and also doing 4th gear pulls on the highway. It seems there is more power all thru the power band. It feels nice!
Also after driving around, the manifold cover is a lot cooler then normal, usually I would get burned if I touched it but not now. Wow, I seriously recommend this product to anyone that can get it. Quality product with quality service from Aaron!
Now I can finally get the VAFC II tuned…

The car already had an intake and catback exhaust prior to any testing. I'm not sure what you meant by your question. But that should answer it either way.
Let me know if you have any more questions. I'm more than happy to answer them.

Had them installed by a fellow .orger last week.
I didn't post before so that I could get a feel of the car's performance.
There definately is a peak in power through out the RPM range and accelerates smoothly. Made my exhaust note a bit deeper.
One thing I really wanted to input was that I had a NASTY rattle at around 2500 rpms from my Y-pipe + exhaust. Now it's basically GONE! I can cruise at around 2300 rpms and usually you'd hear it rattling around slightly and now nothing at all!
Big plus. I don't know why, but the spacers helped!
Another thing is that. Yes...if you have a Stillen FSTB for 2k2 or 2k3 you will either need washers or grind off the top of the manifold that is hitting the bar. That's what it says in the Stillen instructions in the first place, but I didn't need it until now. The manifold hits the FSTB while in reverse. Will need to fix that while I'm off this week.
One question is that when accelerating you hear something sucking in air. Before it would only do it after installing the Injen at around 3k or 4k rpms. Now it always does it while accelerating no matter what rpm you're at. Is this normal or are one of my hoses loose?
Haven't done the touch method yet, but haven't noticed much of a change inside reading the temp gauge. Will try that when it's not so rainy out.
Thanks for a GREAT transaction Aaron
Will post back on anything else!

Also, the stock coolant temp gauge in your car will not show any change by installing these spacers. Phenolic Intake Spacers do not change coolant termperature. They only change the temperature of the intake manifold and intake tubing.

I don't have any products for the 4th gen. But other than the spacers, I have several other ideas for the 4th gen that will help improve track times.
