Wideband o2 Hookup.

Alright guys, I am almost on my way to tuning. Headers are in and VAFC is wired up. Now my zt-2 came in today and was wondering which wires I need to hook up?

The intructions are located here - http://www.zeitronix.com/installatio...structions.pdf

Obvioulsy, power and ground - Do i splice them to the ECU harness in different areas than the VAFC...or can I hook them up elsewhere other than the harness.

Which other wires do i need to splice to the harness?

What pin number on the harness are these wires located to tap into?

Thanks guys.

Are you replacing a factory sensor with this WB02 or are you welding in a new bung for it? If welding in a new bung the hook up should be very simple, power, ground, display wire...that should be about it. The power and ground can come from anywhere and the display wire goes to your display which will also probably need a power and ground. ( btw: both switched power)

I didnt read the pdf but both my PLX's are like this this pretty much applies to most any wb02 excpet maybe a datalogging one or more complicated one like a plx 500

EDIT: just read the PDF, yeah its a more complicated one, but this should get you started

The zt2 is datalogging capable, so you will need an RPM wire. I would tap into the VAFC RPM signal wire. I used power and GND from the cig lighter on my set-up.

So to tune for now, all i need is to tap the RPM signal wire? power and ground. Nothing else on the harness?

Not very familiar with the zt2, but try the instructions. They help.

Software seems user friendly. Plug into laptop, install program, view, verify parameters (AFR/RPM), log, WOT, view results.

I did but I just wanted to see if I only needed to tap the RPM wire to tune my AFR. Theres like 10 wires on the harness so I wasn't sure. And I should be able to post some numbers up tonight.

Did you guys drill a hole in the firewall or is there a spot to run the cable through that already exists. Passenger side.

Drivers side? Can you take a pic for me?

I need to get this in, I have power, ground, throttle, and RPM spliced/soldered.

I just need to route the wideband in cabin somehow.

Get under the car, there is an entry point just under the driver side seat IIRC.

Is there a rubber plug in the bottom for this?

If you are having trouble figuring out how to run the wire into your cabin, do you think this WB may be a bit of a leap for your skills?

Thanks but no. I am just looking for the best/easiest option. I have installed headers back and pressed in bushing, brakes, audio, ect. by myself. I think if my mechanical ability is up to that then I am sure I can find a way, thanks for your concern though.
