Rear Breaks/Calipers/Rotors replaced - Cant attach Parking break!

I took everything apart, at the same time on both sides. I was in the process of attaching the caliper on my side, as my friend was doing the same on the back side ( I had to replace one of the calipers). During his installation, I think as he was attaching the parking break, it actually pulled my side in. THe pictures show. My side, after he attached his was short about an inch. This isnt my first time installing pads in the back of my car. But I've never had this happen before, I can only imagine because I did both at the same time (had to return the core of the caliper to get a replacement). Anyone have any thoughts as to how I can loosen the parking break line so I can re attach it? Right now there is no slack. I've tried pulling on it, and jimming the parking break with no luck. Not sure what I'm missing any thoughts would be great.
Thanks

both pictures show the brake line, one picture for each side of the car. Its attached no problem on the otherside.

take the ebake cable out of the bracket (the one right below the ABS line in the first pic). That should give you enough play to attach it.

Also, you can let the line more slack using the adjuster screw - it down inside the ebrake handle boot at the front end.....turn counterclockwise to loosen the line. I think it takes a 10 or 12mm socket....

also....there is a little bolt on the bottom side of the bracket that holds the ebrake cable mentioned above. if you loosen it, the bracket may be able to rotate enough to give you the length you need.

Thanks bud, I'll go outside and give these a shot now that I'm up and not ready to stab my self from dealing with break problems. Ha ha.
