Seafoaming...what Are The Benefits And How's It Done???

I WAS JUST CURIOUS ABOUT "SEAFOAMING" MY 96 MAXIMA. I HEARD THAT IT BOTH REALLY GOOD TO DO FOR HIGHER-MILEAGE ENGINES...LIKE MINE... BUT I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HOW TO DO IT, WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO USE, ETC. FEEDBACK FROM Y'ALL PRO MECHANICS WOULD BE SUPER! THANX!!!

You feed it in through the brake booster line. I used seafoam "Deep Creep" which is a spray-can form of it. I honestly don't think it did anything. But anyway, here's all you need to know in this thread. Download the video for instructions on how to do it:

It makes smoke show and actuallly hurts your internals while cleaning virtually nothing. It is the equivalent of those cheap loud mufflers that fool themselves into thinking it makes them go faster.

I've heard people who say their car ran smoother afterwards.... I did it and didn't really notice a difference. But it is fun to drive down the block afterwards spewing out a trail of thick white smoke and getting looks from everyone.

It only smokes after letting it sit for a few minutes, so it's not just the sea foam burning off... but still i dunno if it really does anything significant.

It might not hurt, but heres a better solution:

1-Clean IACV and throttle body (change air filter if needed)
2-Add fuel injector cleaner (techron or gunmount regane clear only) and run tank til light comes on
3-wash and wax your car

Done
