Axles just changed, car acting strangely

I just picked up my Max this evening from the auto shop that I normally go to for "pain in the ***/don't have a lift at home" type repairs. On the way home I noticed that the 1-2 shifts (most noticeably) encounter a slight vibration/stumble with the auto trans. It isn't god awful, and I thought it was just a spot in the road at first, but it definetly is something wrong that WAS NOT there before. They were already closed by this time, so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to call. Thing is, my father-in-law also had a 4th gen, and they changed his last week without issue. They have worked on atleast a handful of maximas that i know of, and seem to know their stuff. Is there a break-in period or something? Or do the refurbed axles they put on suck sometimes? Anyone with suggestions/comments/similar experience?

It's possible that the remanufactured axle they put in was defective.

Just spoke with the mechanic who did my car. They were new and not remanufactured axles. Also, he explained how they fit up w/ the differential/tranny and how this could not be causing a shudder in the 1-2 shift. I trust what they say since I've never heard of anyone saying anything bad about this shop's work (including myself). I did have my tranny flushed, and a new filter put back on last weekend by Ammco, and it was only $50. My mechanic said that they probably put the wrong oil in it. $50 seemed to cheap, I guess it proved it to be so-
