mp3 CD tick noise
well i have a couple burned MP3 cds (the only cd's ive used in my 5th gen yet) and when i go to play them, on the majority of tracks, there is a constant tick, and its volume gets bigger as the music gets louder or whatever. Tends to be more prominant with voice. It's fast, sounds like once a revolution.. tick tick tick tick.. you know. I tested the cds on my comp and theyre fine. I tested a bought cd in my car then and its fine. I then tested an older mp3 cd.. first time in this car.. and it worked? Odd.. so its only this set of cds..

More than likely it is an issue when you burned the CD. I have the same tick on some of my burned CD's. And yet they don't tick while in my comp. But they do tick when played on some CD players.
Some suggestions when burning CD's or DVD's for that matter is to not work on anything else on your computer while doing the actual burning. It can create some interference. I have seen it happen on my comp with both CD's and DVD's.

Today, most cd players spin at a high speed to fill the 10sec buffer, which's gonna have some errors on reading. I would suggest burning at slowest speed possible. Not much else u can do.
On computer, sometimes it'll read the same track over and over to catch those mistakes.
