Has anyone seen or bought the taillight tint covers off ebay?? they say they are static cling and they are reusable. It would be nice if they would cut them to look lik ethe 00-01 SE tails. heres the link: (hope it works)

That would be sweet if you could tell me how they go on, or even post a pic. I just spent a bunch of money on a hometheater system so Im a little short on money, if you know what I mean. well good luck on it, and hope the Max gets back from the shop all right.

It's the same tint you can get from Pepboys for about $10.00 bucks a roll. Go and check it out. It says Static cling tint on the box. I believe it's in yellow and black box in the tint section.

It is not easy to get it to stay in place because of the curved edges. I just cut out a circle for the big light and the reverse light. It's been on there for about a year now and it's still in great condition.

If you want something to cover the entire taillight/headlight then go with Lamin-x.com. They sell tint with adhesive backing and it works great. I did my healights in it. They sell it by the sheat so you would have enough to do both tails.

I got mine tinted at a shop for like 30. Remember it is like a regular tint, you might have to cut it and fit it yourself.

Jinsu-power.com sells a taillight kit specifically for the 01-03 taillights, personally I like the way their overlay looks. Athough it costs about $65, I think this is the "right" way of doing this mod without painting your tails.

I've got some pics for you if you want to see them. Also there were a couple of other threads on here about this change up. Do a bit of searching and you'll see a couple of variations. Don't buy the same static cling tint for that price if you can get it for 50% less.

Alrighty...got sum time to apply the tint sheet on the tailight. i have a couple of statements i need to say about the product from ebay.
1.they say that u would have enough for the entire taillight....(wrong)
2.u gotta swipe the crap out of it to get out the bubbles when smoothing out the curves towards the top of the tailight...
3.can't complain for 18 bucks.

check out the beginning stages.

if it don't completely hold on the curves. I'm just gonna razor blade the edges out cuz at nite it looks great.

Didn't waste it, shiz is garbage in the first place. Now you did waste your loot but not all is lost bro. You should just cut out the circle of your tail and leave just that part and the small circle too. Just a thought.

Straight... It's something different considering everyone covers the whole thing up, or just the all red conversion.
