I35's with aftermarket Head Units, Show me what you got!

Well,
I'm really not happy with my OEM BOSE unit and would like to know what options I have.
If you have an aftermarket head unit in your i35 please post a pic and of course tell me how you like it.
Thanks!

1. WTF? you have 2 hazard switches?
2. Center console look alike 5.5 gen
3. Those seats alike I30/ 5th gen. Haven't they changed the shape of seats in I35 like they did with 5th gen -> 5.5 gen

1. Overseas Cefiro piece has hazard switch there. Non-functioning.
2. See answer 1.
3. Same shape, though they were changed to Italian Sojourner leather for the I35.

Should we assume the steering wheel controls do not work with this unit?

Allenz, did you have to fabricate that piece to perfectly fit the head unit like that? It looks awesome.

Yes, I made the whole thing and it was a pain in the ***. So what I would like to do is get one like meta has but take out the hazard switch, fill in the whole, and then paint it to match the dash like my current one (and cover up that horrible wood). Meta, were did you get that kit you have there?

Hey guys! I'm liking that Eclipse Unit, can you give me the model number so I can look into it?
Thanks
Also, it really sucks that when I go to circuitcity or bestbuy websites and try to find something to fit my car I find NOTHING!
Nothing seems to fit my car ...

By the way, I just wanted to give a little credit where credit is due. Thanks to Sycefiro for coming though with the A33 dash kit for me that Meta has. He was totally cool and I received the dash kit before I even knew it. A totally trust worthy seller on the Org. and highly recommended. Thanks Sycefiro.

So how many pieces you actually need to get that look Meta?
The piece with the hazard light in the middle and then the piece that goes around the unit, am I right?
How much they selling these 2 pieces for?

It's just one piece. It includes the vents and hazard light button. It fits around the head unit and replaces the existing vents.

You can run 1 din, 2 din, etc.

It's a Kenwood DDX7015. It's pretty cool, but if I could buy a double din HU now I'd probably get something else. When I bought mine there were only like 3 on the market in the US at the time.

If I had to go it over again I'd probably get either an Eclipse AVN, Pioneer AVIC-D2 or Z1, or Alpine IVA-W200.

Best advice I can offer though is to read up and play with as many of them as you possibly can. Each one has its own stupid little quirk. Try to read user reviews on Forums (any) as they're tons better and provide a lot more insight than product descriptions.

If you are talking about the pop up kit on top? I can also look into that.

I just had this installed. This kit was made from the plastic face from the OEM radio. I removed the old radio and unscrewed the flont plastic face. All the holes were filled in with duraglass and then sanded smooth then cut outs for the radio and EQ. I am pleased with the way it came out.
