Code 09-08 ECTS.What the....?
Pulled a bunch of codes , and here's what the yellow blinky light said:
03-04 ( We ALL know what that is...)
01-03-
09-08- Both bottom codes came out to be "Engine Coolant Temprature Sensor"?...
So, how critical is this Engine Coolant sensor anyways? I know the KS needs to be fixed, but do I need to take care of the ECTS, or can it wait until next payday?

Its happened to some, I dont see why it would cause the car to not start but who knows I could be wrong, or it could have not been the ECTS that was originally causing it. . . who knows.
I threw the code for a couple of weeks with a bad thermo that was stuck open. Car started just fine. If anything be prepaired should the car not start so atleast your not surprised if for some reason that happens, but I cant see it happening.

A bad thermostat will only cause your engine to run cool, get worse gas mileage, and be slightly more susceptible to carbon deposits. If the ECTS is fried open, when starting, the computer won't know to provide cold engine fuel enrichment. That should cause the car to hard start and run crappy till it warms up.
