HID Install Gone Way Wrong!!!!!

I got my Heilos kit and installed it. When I turned on the lights nothing. So then I tried putting in my regular lights and NOTHING!!!!! Clearence and bumper lights work. After further inspecting everything I found two 10 amp fuses and in the owners manual in the book it says replace the 75 amp fuse connected to the HID harness if necessary. Did I blow something? Now I'm really stuck cause all stores are closed for tonight and I have to work in the morning. What could cause my regular lights to not even come on?

Did you test the lights before you installed them? Did they come on at all?

No!!!! I just took out the housings but the bulbs in hooked up the harnesses and everything and nothing came on. So then I just decided to put my stock bulbs back on and they didn't come on at all either!

um... lol its wierd to see that someone has exact same problem as me ... wow, but anyways, your fuse probably blew. Just replace your fuse with another 15 amp. I'm still trying to figure out why my HID kit isnt working, so maybe we can work each other out. Someone told me that my headlight harness wiring is inversed. Like the highbeam and the low beam, but im not too sure.

Yeah I checked the fuses and they were blown lol!!! What could have caused that though? Was it because I used that 75A fuse in the HID harness?

You may have it hooked up wrong, takes a bit of current for a 75a to blow, the ballasts I have are on a 30a main fuse. When I first had my retrofit I had 2 ballasts on one 15 amp main fuse and that fuse worked fine for them. Somewhere a positive is touching ground, etc. Also that is the main reason to use a fused harness, so it won't mess up your stock circuitry and wiring. Click the "lighting faq" link in my sig. When i did my HID's i replaced the stock fuse with 25amp (i was told to put in 30 but i didn't) Somone said that the harness may get to hot and then alot of **** might happen. Just put in a 20amp like i have now and all should be fine.

when I did my hid install, I didnt use those extra fuses that came with the Helios kit. I've had them for a year now and they're fine.
