Interior -> RE: part question:

Is the center console shifter bezel the same for an auto and a 5spd? I need a new one for a std, and can get a hold of an auto but can't get a pic.

The guy that has it doesn't know *%!# and can't even describe what he has except that it has the cig lighter so I know it is the right piece. Are these the same part???

wtf... over.

No they are not the same piece. The shifter trim is a different size for the auto and std. If you need a std piece, then you need to buy a standard piece. Auto will not fit right. 50$ really? When I went to get a std boot from the dealership it came with the trim and was about 75$ I believe.

damn... This one was gonna be $20 shipped - Where can I get one for $50?

and

to confirm - I am talking about the plastic piece that has the cig lighter in it. Not the actual leather boot - already bought a new one of those.

thx for the help

Yeah buying from the dealership you have to get the boot and the trim. They won't sell you just the trim. I already tried to split it up...You can try a junkyard to see if they'd have a std trim piece. And yes the art with the cig lighter is the shifter trim piece. But dont buy the auto one you found if you need a std piece.

if you're super cool about it you can use a auto shifter trim with a custom boot.
