quick tranny question

quick tranny question

on my last maxima, I had to buy two plastic bushings for the cable linkage for the tranny. does anyone know the part# and or the correct name for it at the dealer

did you get new shifter bushings?
how much were they?
do you now have the part numbers?

You shoudnt need a part number if the parts guy is any good at all but just in case here you go (just because I like playing with FAST).

34552-D4000 this is the bushing under the heat shield that normally goes bad. Its actually called an insulator. It looks like the list price is $1.82.

34407-01E00 this is the one at the transmission. I have yet to seen one of these messed up personally but I have had to replace the insulator on all three of my auto Maximas. This one lists at $1.50.

again it is very common for the insulator to go out probably because of the heat (its just above the cat) but its cheap enought to just buy both anyway.
