Maxima Door Sills - Fitment?

Eventually I want to buy the MAXIMA door sills made by AP Signworks (I think). my concern is this: my stock plastic sills have two large ridges on them. How would the aluminum sill stick on top of that? It either wouldn't or it would look terrible. Maybe I'd have to remove the plastic sills?

SWA has them for $90. Does that include just the front two or all four?

i have the cefiro ones, whihc are very similar...they are a pain in the *** to put on, cause in my case the double sided sticky tape did not keep on there for squat.......i used jb weld and some c-clamps and got those things to stay. But at least they look good.

It looks like you removed the plastic sill, Manual. Is that right?

Actually, the 3M tape we use conforms to the plastic sills. The ridges really don't pose any problems. I have had mine on for over 2 years now, no issues. And all 4 sills are included.

Thanks, Shadow, that's good to know. The only think I'm worried about is the possibility that the 99 plastic sills have bigger ridges than earlier 4th gens. Probably not but you never know. I didn't realize that the 3M tape was thick or foam backed, that would definitley make it easier.

They're not any bigger, at least not the ones I saw.

i got mine from shadow. they stick just fine. they do look a tiny bit raised up because of the ridges, but only you would notice that. i have had them on for at least 6 months and no problem. look nice, too! and easy install.

Thanks for the info, 86.

Well, since it's plastic and will be covered up, I'll probably just use a wire wheel or something to take off those ridges before install; shouldn't take long. Cool.

i probably should have done that too. but now that they're on there, it's not a big deal.
