Squeaky Suspension Should Not Cost $1000 To Fix Should It

ok, like the post below, i have the same clunking/squeaking noise from my suspension - VERY EMBARRASING. Anyway, i took it to Mavis to get diagnosed yesterday, after a few hours the guy calls me back and starts to tell me whats wrong, so i go to the shop and he shows me exactly whats wrong

both control arms - $501.90
right inner tie rod - $122.95
left outter tie rod - $89.00
front strut mounts - $89.00 EACH
rear strut mounts - $45.00 EACH
wheel alignment - $79.99

labor - $185 - that might be wrong. I need to call
not including tax and labor thats over 1000 dollars.

im the type of guy that buys my own parts and will pay the mechanic to put them on. now I actually seen whats wrong, so i know hes not jerking me,, but these prices seem ridiculous. I've already found both control arms brand new on Ebay for 160 shipped.. not 500.. , i know i can get an alignment for $50, so can you guys instruct me on some places to look for cheaper parts, or just how much these parts should cost in general.... and also, how much in labor should i be paying... i plan on fixing this soon because my girl is giving me 500 dollars towards fixing the car..

You sure it’s just not your springs? I wouldn’t buy the mounts unless there broken. I might check the rubber under the mounts though.

I ordered this package of parts from a seller on ebay a few weeks ago and I finally had it all installed for $390 last week.

I decided that since my car has 198k, I may as well replace both or all four of each part rather than keeping the car "pieced together". I was impressed with the difference in ride and handling, I'm glad I finally got it done.
