Replacing K+n

I Checked My K+n Filter Today, Very Dirty. I Have Been Reading About Maf Problems Members Have Been Experiecing After Replacing The Filter. Just Trying To Get Suggestions On Replacement. Can The K+n Filter Be Cleaned Or Should It Be Replaced With New.

Thanks

Go to any auto parts store and pic up a K&N cleaning kit. I think I paid somewhere around $17 for mine. It includes the cleaner and oil. People have had problems with the MAF maybe because they sprayed on too much oil on it or they didn't let the filter completely dry before reinstalling it. The cleaner is used to disolve dirt and grime, while the oil is used on the now clean filter to catch dirt.

i have cleaned mine, w/o any probs. just don't go over-board with spraying it. clean it, and let it dry. then spray little by little. don't just spray the entire filter. spray and let soak, spray more, until it is all covered
