Liquid Wrench Alternative

When I was tearing apart my first car for a cylinder head rebuild back in 1997, I came across a product that beat the hell out of Liquid Wrench. It's called PB Blaster. It's in a can with with a yellow cap writing similar to what you'd find on the package of JB Weld. This stuff really eats through rust and stuff and is used similar to Liquid Wrench. You have to be careful around rubber components though because it can eat through if left on for a long time, not dangerous if immediately wiped off though.

I remembered this after reading a Y-Pipe post. I've used both LW and PBB and PBB works much better. I thought I'd just throw this out there to help all you guys out with frozen cat nutz.

PBB can be bought at your local auto parts store most likely. If not, you can get it here (picture of the can too):

Re: Liquid Wrench Alternative

Hey thanks.
It's funny... I've seen that at Wal-mart before but the label on the can was a distraction and made me think it was a gimmicky product. I'll have to give that stuff a try.

PB Blaster is pretty good stuff, Aero Kroil is better if you can find it.

Kroil

http://www.kanolabs.com/ is where you can find Kroil.

They have a special. I bought a gallon for $19.50 (used in spray bottles, it will last forever) and recieved a can of AeroKroil (Kroil in a conventional aresol can) free. Shipping was $8.00

Kanolabs is the producer of Kroil.

Good Luck!
