ECU question....throttle position switch????

ECU question....throttle position switch????

i just checked my ECU and i got a code, 1 slow 2 fast.... i looked that up and it means closed throttle position switch... what does that mean??? how can i fix it.. help!!!!!

0102 = Mass Air Flow Sensor
0203 = Closed Throttle Position Switch
0403 = Throttle Position Sensor.


Which code do you have ???

From the Haynes manual:

Disconnect the wide open/closed throtle pos. sensor. Connect an ohmmeter to termals 5&6. Check for continuity at the switch with the throttle fully close and again slightly open. There should be continuity with the throttle completely colsed and no continuity with the throttle open.

If the reading are incorrect, replace the TPS.

If you got 0102 and your MAF fails you car will not go over 2500 RPMs. Reset your ECU and see what happens.

ok it looks like i gotta bring it to the shop cuz i dont have a ohmmeter.... and i have a cone filter on my car is that the reasons why its making the 0102 code/?
