Perhaps a stupid quest. Engine swap 4th and 5th
This kid who drives a 4th gen tells me he want to swap his engine for a 2002. he has a 95 max gle. i was reading on some other thread about it not being able to be done. he told me that since the engine sizes are relatively the same..it can be possible. i really doubt it..no bashing please. Also..hes got stock 15s on it with koni springs??? think a 17 or 18" rim can fit without the camber kit?? car looks pretty freakin low.

I hope it can be done and for cheap
I know the clutch linkage is very different, but everything else looks pretty good. The 4th gen engine bay has plenty of room and motor mounts can be custom-maded for relatively cheap. The only thing is the motor, tranny, ECU, and wiring would probably run you about $4K-6K. I'm thinking about motor swapping when my 97 motor or tranny dies. I'm about to drop an JDM H22a with LSD into my sister's F22 90 Accord for $3,000 total. I'm hoping with all the VQ's available (V6 Altima, Pathfinder, Maxima, I35, G35, Z, and who know what else) we will have affordable options in the future...as far as the JDM market is concerned. A Skyline motor and tranny is about $6K and a S15 motor and tranny is about $2,500. Hopefully a VQ35 with the 6-speed and LSD won't be too much.

1. Konis don't drop the car at all... They can be used with sport springs (1"-2" drop) or with stock springs (no drop).
2. Regardless of wheel size, camber kit may be needed when lowering the car. The shop that installed my Eibachs/Konis said my alignment was still within spec after the upgrade. I could have 20" rims or 14" rims, but it wouldn't change the *overall* diameter of my tires.

The VQ35 engine is in the
V6 Altima, Pathfinder, Maxima, I35, G35, and Z.
Basically, all over the Nissan/Infinit Lineup. Chances are, if you have a Nissan V-6 in the engine bay of your 2K2 model, it's probably a VQ
