You could try under the shifter or under the armrest.

Remove the back seat by pulling on the two small plastic loops located on the driver and passenger side between the bottom on the seat and the floor. They should pop, then lift out the entire bench. There should be a good amount of room under there to hide some stuff, depending on what your hiding.

There a huge compartment in your trunk under your where your jack sits. I found it while replacing the antenna assembly.

Trust me. Any K-9 that has been properly trained will find "stuff" anywhere you put it in/on the car. They'll even hit on used, but empty hiding spots just from the residual odor. Hiding "stuff" in the gas tank, wrapped with coffee, or anything like that doesn't work 'cause dogs detect each individual odor. In most states, just the fact that a properly trained K-9 alerts on a spot is enough probable cause for a human to search. Try not to look suspicious enough for a dog to be called out. Better yet, don't have "stuff" that you'd have to worry about dogs finding.

Best thing to do, trust me on this one cause i know, hide your "stuff" in your sock. But dont just stuff it in your sock. Take off your shoe, take off your sock, put the "stuff" on the bottom of your feet, then put everything back on. This may sound like a pain, but it is the ONLY place the police dont check for some reason. Dont ask me why or how I know. Bye the way, are you the same Dave Holmes on MTV?

if you find a place to hid something and you don't want to have dogs sniffing it you have to cover the compartment with Vaseline crazy to say dogs cant smell anything with Vaseline all over it

Just a word of advice, I wouldn't continue to give out your hiding spots. This thing called an internet is heavily bugged, and files are kept. Keep them to yourself.

Just friendly words. Plus we have no idea who the cops are on the board.

No, I'm not from MTV. You are still running a big risk hiding it in your sock. If a cop suspects you have something, he may ask you to take off your shoes. If you refuse, all he has to do is find something to arrest you for, then search you incidental to arrest. It's real easy to find something to arrest someone for if he wants. Most states, a person can be arrested for a traffic violation as a ticket is merely a summons to appear. If he is going to book you for that, then he has the legal right to search you. And if he arrests you, then he must "inventory" the car to protect you and him as far as contents. See where all this can go?

I'm with clee130 here.. the piece around the shifter is easy as hell to remove. Just carry a flathead screw driver with you, or anything flat and hard that you can use to pry the thing open. There is sufficient space there to hide cigs and condoms or anything like that, Make sure it's not something really tiny because it might fall in there too far and will be tough to reach, or it might even fall down the side and fall out into the footwell

Other spots include,
Fuse box, there is also a tiny compartment on the steering wheel, right on the base of it behind the spokes.
