A 2" drop is as low as you can take a 4th Gen Maxima without coilovers. It is pretty low, you will scrape over steep driveways, but its still perfectly fine for everyday driving.

Sprint = 2.0" drop, very firm sports-car-like ride.
Eibach = 1.4" drop, ride between Sprint and H&R.

eibach sounds pretty good....how much do they go for? and what kind of strut does it go with? what about kyb gr2 and tokico shocks? are they good? and one more question...does it make weird/annoying sound when struts are worn out? sorry for asking too many questions...i don't really know anything about cars

So for people with SE, what kind of setup is the best?

If your not looking for a big drop, but want the performance and ride quality I would go with H&R's with KYB/AGX or another strut that may be less harsh then the KYB/AGX's. I have this combo and love the ride though. Check out my homepage for pics if your curious.

Sounds like you should go with either H&R or Eibach springs with KYB AGX struts. H&R's are like $220 at www.tirerack.com and Eibach are $200 at www.southwestautoworks.com. KYB AGXs go for around $380 for all 4 at either www.custommaxima.com or www.southwestautoworks.com

You can put anything on your car, it all depends on the amount of ride quality you are willing to sacrafice for handling or looks.
What if you skip the struts ($380 ouch) and just get the springs?

There's a good chance your OEM struts will blow with lowering springs. If not, you will notive very little handling improvments since the car will have such a high rebound rate. I went without struts for 10k miles and I did not have a single problem, but once you have the struts you will know why everybody told you to get them in the first place.
