I have a '95 Maxima; 5-speed (bought it new in Oct. '94). Since I've had it, I've had to replace two (yes, TWO) fuel injectors. The car only has 78,000 miles on it. To me, that seems like two too many injectors to replace for that low of mileage. I was visiting with my friend the other day, who is an independent mechanic (for the past 30 years). He said he thought that Nissan had a recall on the original injectors. And that the dealer should have mentioned that to me to have them replaced. I never heard from the dealer. Can anyone shed some light on this recall? Any info would be much appreciated. thanks. NDdiver in Bismarck, ND.

are you sure your friend are not talking about the 2nd gen max?

ilooked up all the recalls for the forth gen max and there was only one, it was an emissions label. what ever that is? i did this yesterday 03dec02, so unless they posted it up yesterday evening then there is not a recall on the injecters. i could be wrong those were general recalls which i assume affect all 95 maxs yours might be a vin specific recall.
