Streetz Dyno (Low boost)

Ok so I just decided to finally dyno for yall to stop whining LOL, j/k. Anyway I went on 11psi however on dyno it showed as 10psi since theres less load (Dynojet). For those that dont know, built block 3.5, HX40 rear mount, Water/Meth injection, and stock timing.

The car has been misfiring for a few weeks, I have not been able to figure it out till today, this morning before dyno i regapped plugs down to .030 from 035, and still missing. Still dyno'ed, and result was 380whp 366wtq, STD. Not happy but considering the crazy missing, auto, and only 10psi on a 8.8:1 compression, I dont think its too bad.

So I just went to autozone, alternator is putting out only 35amp, supposed to be 125+, that can def explain the misfire.

I have it as MPH because in RPM the curve is all over the place cuz of the missing.

you have stock redline? and its really good for 10-11psi on 8.8:1 pistons. and why did you go .030 i think that gap was too close .035 is prob much better

Agreed 380fwhp is not bad for 10psi on a 8:8-1 motor not get the alt fix and turn the boost up to atleast 15psi where it should be

10psi is for stock motors with stock cr

Well we all know I almost never dyno, so my last dyno was with the 3.0 and leaky head gasket, about two years ago. 312whp at 10psi. With this built motor, its the first time I dyno.

I'm going back with no muffler, and 17psi. Taking muffler off alone raises boost like 3psi. I got full slicks

The muffler restricts the exhaust quite a bit. Alot of people see small gains in psi like that when going to a larger exhaust for example 2.5" to 3"

God no lol. It does look like SC. but the turbo is pretty big so it takes long to spool up, hence the late torque curve.

I'd say 380whp is pretty good power for 10lbs.
Anything done to the auto to hold the power?

Thanx guys, I really think the misfire is gone, after more driving today i should be able to know if its good or not, if it is, then more boost. I wanna get to 500 without going too much over. Krazy6, the auto is basically stock with a huge 40000 GVW cooler, drop resistor, and transgo shiftkit.

Damn man, that is badass.
Think that is all that Jime has as well.

When I build up my project 4th gen it will have an auto.

Thanx guys, hopefully ill go to the next dyno soon. I have some motivation for now. I havent driven the car with the new alternator enough to know if the missing is gone or not, if its still there, then its going to be a while to figure it out since iv checked everything. if its gone then up the boost and hopefully dyno

so was it just the alty going bad or it being old ? you could have a draw somewhere if the new alty is doing the same ( or if I miss reading somewhere the issue is fixed)

anyways decent #s but im sure more power is untapped until the next dyno !

I hope nothing is causing a draw like that. I havent verified if the issues is fixed. Havent touched the car the whole day.
