Leaving 4th gen forum: My sixth wreck in my maxima

It happened again. I was coming back from Papa John's Pizza early this past Saturday morning. To my dismay, they were closed. I was entering the Sherwood and Florida Blvd. intersection when a late model Dodge Ram crossed into my path without yielding. I blew my horn, slammed on my brakes, and swerved to avoid hitting the truck. I couldn't avoid it. My airbags deployed and smoke from the bags was everywhere. I remember hitting my wrist on the steering wheel. Luckily, my only injury was a bruise. I get out and see the truck with flipped with it's wheels facing upward and resting partially on the hood of another car on the street crossing the intersection. I ran to help the female driver out who was scampering to get out. Some witnesses helped me get the other passenger, a man , out of the truck. They were in their late 20s. Anyway, it turns out that the woman was drinking. Cops came with firetrucks and ambulance in 3 to 10 minutes. Witnesses said they saw the Dodge speed through the intersection without stopping and noted the lady was drunk. The cops faulted her for the accident. My ride is totaled; there's no way it's coming out of this wreck. It's sixth one in 4 years. I'm just glad that no one was seriously injured. The woman was rushed to the hospital though. I now believe that this car was bad luck as much as I loved it. I have no clue what car to get next.

Wow, crazy story. Im glad you walked away with just a bruise. It could have been a lot worse. You had a very nice car, but I'm sure you'll move on to something bigger and better. Best of luck.

Man o Man...sorry about that..>Good luck finding your next project too.

G35's are nice, but dropping $27,000-$30,000 for even a used one with low miles kinda hurts.

Good luck man

Damn. Sorry to hear that. Glad that no one was hurt and that you weren't hurt as well.

Hopefully with payout from their insurance, you'll be able to get another car. Can only imagine how it feels to have something like this happen (especially after the hard work you put into your car). But I know that you'll be back again with a modded g35 or maybe a new generation maxima.

Doesn't seem like he was speeding. The other individuals involved were driving under the influence.

THe symptons dont always surface right after. They usually creep up on you later on.... cuz that's what happening to me.

Anyways.... since you're leaving 4th gen forum, you can always join the 5th gen or the 6th =)

Thank you all for your concern. I'm trying to save what's left. It's curerntly sitting in the wrecker yard right now. The rims were already used from a fellow org member, but when they were pulling the car onto the flatbed, the passenger side rim was scraping across the edge. I couldn't really tell if it was bent. Witnesses say that the Ram barreled through the intersection; I was going with the flow of traffic. I hit the truck as it was turning. That max was literally my girlfriend: bought her the finest wines (premium gas), Italian shoes (miglia evo5), Gucci shades ($700 HID retrofit), versace dress (stillen kit) etc. I was going to keep this car for the foreseeable future.

WOW!!! that looked bad, good to hear ur alright and that no one got seriously injured...I hate to say it, but that ladie needs to be sued, she doesn't deserve anything after that wreck....peoples lives where at stake, and she obviously had no regard for that. Well hope everything works out for you..Too bad about the max....I'm sure she is in a better place-not meaning the junk yard......

i hope you have an appt with a doctor to go in and get xrays of your wrist at the very least. remember that this drunk lady's insurance is footing the bill for you both, so make sure you've contacted the agent from her insurance that's handling the claim so that you have the billing info for doctor's appts and such pertaining to the crash. also, depending on the severity, you may want to consider a lawyer for that, especially if your injuries/pain & suffering go beyond just a bruised/sore wrist. for any broken bones or anything you could be looking at $10k+ depending on the details.

That sucks big time.. I don't even have much work into my car and I would HATE having it all go down the drain because of a drunk moron. Glad that you're okay, though.

By the way, I love how the Stillen lip wasn't damaged. You should submit that picture to them.

I already got a lawyer on it. I'm doing surgery rotations for medical school, so I definitely can't afford time to hassle with the insurance companies. I'm currently thinking about a 6th gen max. I'll slap a kit on it quick though. These 4th gen are built very tough. Qbridge, what year IS300 are you talking about. It all boils down to how much I get for the car and stuff. I have pics of all the mods on the car. I plan on parting it out if I don't get a good offer. All my friends and classmates also loved the look of that car. I'm too hooked on maximas to leave.
