No Short Throw Shifter for the 2002/2003?

Does anyone know if there is a short throw shifter for the 2002/2003 6-speed?

If not, anyone know why there isn't one?

I wouldn't think it would be too hard to get the reverse lockout ring/thingy to work on an aftermarket shifter....

I do believe there is.. But if not, why couldnt you use the one from another car? Ive heard some people even saw of part of their shifter (but that may be too ghetto)

Sawing off part of the OEM shifter isn't going to make it a short-throw shifter... just a shorter shifter...

a short throw shifter means that the distance you have to move the shifter when shifting gears is reduced...

It's not just the lockout ring that is the problem. As far as I know there isnt any. There are a couple of places that are seeing if the 350z shifter can work. But as far as I know, I think there may be one that will be producing a prototype in a few months.

The 350z is rear wheel drive making the shifter very different from ours.
