And I do know about the shift kit, however under no circumstances should I have to install it to make a stock transmission last longer in a car that was never modified or driven hard.

When I bought the car, transmission problems were more prominent in the 5 speed auto, not the 4 speed which was what I had. I wanted a 6 speed but I'd have better luck getting struck by lightning...

I have an 04 SL with NAV with 111,000 miles. What do you think is a good price for private party and trade in? It's stock... no mods in good shape with new tires and all recent maintenance done.

I just ordered the General GMax tires. I got a good deal on them too. I read nothing but good reviews on them so I figured I'd give them a try. I've never been a fan of Goodyear passenger car tires....
