I wet sanded mine down with 400 grit. then washed...

I wet sanded mine down with 400 grit. then washed it with soap then dried. Painted it all up and then finish coated with a heat resistant clear finish.

I personally replaced everything but #5 & 15. Either way for the smaller parts, good or bad, your looking at a total of an extra $100. I just went new all the way through.

I talked to a few transmission shops and only one of them told me it doesn't sound like it would be the torque converter causing this problem.

Car stalls under low rpms

97 auto. The thing stalls out (sometimes) while in idle, just after starting (aka idling) or just under a low rpm ( like taking the foot of the gas to take a turn). If i rev the engine I can stop it...

my girl has a 97 with the same stalling problem (not the other ones). but she has a code pulling up for the torque converter. hope that helps
