Transmission Jack???

OK, so I'm in the market for a telescoping vertical transmission jack, to use along with my 2-post lift. I'm looking at lots of different sources - Fleabay, HF, even NAPA. I'm finding a WIDE array...

OMFG - just pull up your panties, clean up the surface rust, put new rings and bearings in it, and put it together. Most likely just surface rust, and it probably won't dramatically affect the...

245 is pretty much the ideal width for the Maxima, IMO. The 45 series will be fine. The G35 wheels are not staggered. Just the tires were staggered from the factory.

The 2K Max compressor is a POS in the first place, so you're actually probably money ahead to go with a rebuilt one from Advance or wherever, with a warranty. Get a drier, too. The drier changes...

Partially right. 4th Gen ('95-'99) rear beam WILL NOT FIT. IT IS DIFFERENT.

However, any 5th or 5.5 Gen (2000-2003, or 2004 I35) will bolt right up. I bought one for my 2KSE 5MT w/ 17" wheels...

I'm running 17X8+33 350Z rears all around on my wife's '03, and it looks good with 245/45's all around. 8 more mm out would be pretty hard to see, IMO. I think it'll be fine at +25.

No. Z-cars are rear wheel drive, and the engine block castings are totally different. You could do a 3.5 swap from a Maxima, Altima, Quest, or FX35, though.

Just spend the twelve bucks and buy the little cube that goes on the end of your 3/8" extension with a ratchet. I fought with needle-noses, channel-locks, and vice-grips for years, and always ended...

If your brake pedal still feels solid, you probably don't need to re-bleed. The fluid level drops in the master cylinder for only 2 reasons: 1. Brake pad wear, which means more fluid volume is...

You'll have to find the slave cylinder to bleed it. It's at the top front of the transmission, right where the engine and bellhousing meet. You can bleed it by yourself, but it takes a lot of trips...

And I also have a set of 17", 7 spoke 350Z's on my wife's '03 Max. I think they look good.
