Make sure there is a hub centric ring, check each rim for run out, check tires for run out and have them...

Well springs hold their shape for a very long time, provided you have factory springs. Shocks in these things are mediocre at best and is my guess is what is suspect. You could bounce test it but...

For those who have had tranny issues

My car has been making a whine sound at cold morning starts and especially when turning left it whines. The sound is like a dry power steering pump but its full. Could this be the tranny?

Years ago you would have more than a dead battery. Once jump started you would have a misfire because the points in your ignition fused together then broke apart once the distributor cam turned.
