So not sure what your talking about, if you are having pressure build up in the tank you will want to look into the vent to the charcoal canister under the battery area, or fuel cap, for the vent...

What codes does it have, but yea sounds like the head temp sensor, but pull the codes and see what that says. The sensor is kind of a pain to change but can be done without pulling the rear timing...

The sensor light is something that needs to be unplugged, it was a service thing for the first few thousand miles, double check and make sure the long term storage switch is on, it's next to the fuse...

edited cuz I didn't proof read and it's the cam sensor that tells...

not sure if there is a video on the 2nd gen Maxima, I think there might be write up on here somewhere, but it's relativity simple, there are 4 metal clips you need to pull off you can see 2 of them...
