While you're in there change the thermostat & rad hoses as well..

I got all my factory parts from Courtesy Nissan

Not too hard of a job....did it all from the top

Have you repaired your's yet or you still driving like that?

I filed a complaint with the NHTSB to see if Nissan will do anything about this.....

Looks like this could be an expensive repair.

Whats the general consensus on these struts?

I'm looking for a decent replacement for the factory struts. Not looking to carve corners just a soft/controlled ride on these crappy NYC streets.

Yes, only when hot and at idle...as soon as the throttle is blipped, the whistle would stop, then return as soon as the car returned to an idle rpm.
Very loud, high pitched......almost like a vacuum...

It is the A/C compressor pulley bearing making noise. It is not replaceable. You will need to get a reman compressor.

My 96 does the same. Got a compressor in the parts bin waiting.......not...
