i inspected the oil cooler and it appeared in fine shape - given the amount of issues reported on this forum, i am inclined to believe that the problem is with the o-ring.

i assume then you used the gasket maker on both sides of the gasket, i.e. b/n the gasket and the engine and b/n the gasket and the oil cooler?

Well, I thought about warped/bent scenario, but this probably not the case - I have rotated the the rack corner and the car was aligned a few months back and visibly appears straight in that corner....
