Actually Nissan's are one of the only ones I've driven that do. Acura's don't, bmw's, mazdas, benz etc... I'm sure other cars out there do shift automatically though, but I know quite a few don't...

However FULL manual mode WILL up shift for you automatically. It will not hold a "gear"...once you rev high enough it "shifts"
