Would bad valves create lower compression? I'll have to check and see about reving in neutral. As far as I know, its just at startup, but its white thick smoke, not simply condensation.

Its definitely not bluish at all. Its whiter than regular steam that comes out from it being super cold outside. When I first start it up, white smoke rolls out for just a few seconds then its gone....

I use this method too. Each time I fill the car up I reset the gauge and keep track of it this way. The average is still around 22mpg or so.

I only run unleaded plus in my car and average 21-22mpg assuming the tank size is 18 gallons or so. My car also has 105k miles on it, needs a tune up, and probably some Seafoam. lol
