I already was thinking about that. I was going to unplug the one in the rear window but hadn't got around to it. I'll just figure out what resistor to use and put it in.

I already did that. All lights work properly.

I did replace both brake lights since I bought two bulbs (one pack). One of the bulbs looked like it was bad.

I haven't either. I also thought it may be the brake light switch but then my brake light wouldn't work if that wasn't working properly.

Manual says - If the light comes on with the engine running when the light switch is on or the brake pedal is depressed one or more stop/tail light bulbs...

What I heard this time is the equivalent of starting a motor with no oil.

That's fine and all but that doesn't really explain why it sounded as if it had no oil in the motor at start up the first time. It started up with no issues at first.
