Oh ok, I guess the one used for 2k-2k1 are different, they have the rubber seal, but I don't think there is any metal anywhere, I could be wrong though...

Why do they suck? I just got one for my 2000 Maxima like last week sometime, but I've been using FRAM filters since the purchase of my car. I'm just curious.
