Its working!
I manually closed it with the crank under the dome light/sunroof switch panel.

Then it worked great. Then it stuck open again. So I closed it, tried again.
So now I will just keep...

So I was able to close it manually by crank under the dome light.

It freed itself up, and now works. But got stuck again, so I used the crank to shut it.

So at least it works and if it gets...

Sunroof

So my 96's sunroof was tilted open, now it wont close.

I can hear the motor running when the switch is moved to tilt open more only, so I ordered/installed a new switch.

Nothing....... :help:...

My Auto '98 SE was WAY better looking as far as, front end, rear end, BOSE stereo, Climate controls.

But this 96 SE I got is...

I put H&R's into my previous '98, left the stock shocks. The ride was great, looked good. The rear shocks started to leak and replaced them, actually sold the car 30K miles later, never had a problem...

Thinking all 4th Generation Max's are the same and it was time for another sedan, I bought a '96.

Hi,

Sunroof stuck

My '96 SE's sunroof is stuck tilted open.

I can hear the motor operating, but won't close.... Since the motor is clearly running/operating, I would assume the switch is just bad. !!??

BOSE indash problem

Try to eject indash cd from BOSE radio, it cycles are few times and stops. won't eject. Try to them play the stuck cd and Err comes up on display.....

Any suggestions?

Well, I happen to own another car with a 6speed that blows the doors off any 5 speed Maxima its seen.

No the Maxima is not a racecar, just an everyday beater!

So I bought a 98 SE in auto for the everyday driver.

Since I feel the need to have power when coming out of a corner, I shift from auto to 2nd gear, the transmission then slams into 2nd gear.... ...
