I bought my Maxima new in 2004 and I have 128k on it now. At about 100k the transmission started clunking at low speed.

I left out an important detail. You need to remove the console side panel to see the screw. It just pops off by pulling on it.

Scrach resistant polycarbonate would be a better choice than glass. You could get it in the same thickness any sign shop would most likely have some pieces they could sell you.
