Oh and if you had a hard time unbolting the caliper itself you might want to check if the calipers have any play also, you might have bad caliper bushings.

I agree it does sound like a thermostat but to confirm that after running the car a little bit feel the radiator hoses and if one is hot and the other one is cold its the thermostat
