Sticking high idle

Weird problem I've had off and on. Sometimes when I pull up to a light, the idle is stuck very high ~1000. If I put it in neutral (auto trans), it jumps to 1500. I can get it to drop down sometimes...

Both dealers I called said I needed to use Nissan trans fluid. The Haynes manual says Nissan-Matic "D" auto trans fluid. Problem is that it costs $5.32 from the dealer. I have right at 100k miles so...

Don't do this. It has been discussed before. Yes you will get harder shifts at the price of your transmission. It runs full line pressure to your trans at all times.

Any reasons? I haven't driven either one but the TL does look more "put together" just by looking at body seams and interior. But, if I could get the 2k1 for $24k, is the TL-s worth the extra $7k?
