I'm on 225/45 18 Avon M550s. Very good all-season tire, great in wet/dry, very quiet at highway speeds, a little noisy as you come to stop. About 7-8 K on them so far and no sign of tread wear....

UPDATE - alternator was the problem. Dealer didn't really give me any hassle, even though they have a bit of a bad rep. I've got a 6yr /75K warranty so all was covered, just paid the $50 deductible....

UPDATE - the alternator was the problem. Dealer contacted extended warranty people, got authorization, replaced it, I paid the $50 deductible and I'm now back on the road. Sounds like your dealership...
