Thanks, and I would be happy if it was just an intermitten fuse, but I never heard of such a fuse! It could be the contacts needed the fuse to be reseated, but that is a stretch too.

Just another tip. Dip a rag in boiling water and wrap it over the hose for a minute. Softens up the rubber making pulling it off MUCH easier.

You should have found two different size, soft metal, 'crush gaskets' placed in the in the clear tape that is wrapped around that hanger. Look again, reusing is not a good idea.
