I ended up grounding it to the read trunk...

I ended up grounding it to the read trunk release. It works great... no noise. If anyone is interested I can post some pictures of it.

also note that you'll need spacers for the front speakers, otherwise most, if not all, would hit the window when it's down. I used 1 inch spacers and all is well.

They make converters for the stock units to provide you with RCA outs from your stock stereo. It doesn't provide the best quality, but it'll save you the hassle of doing your dash.
