It's actially 164, thousand plus miles so ivplan to keep it till 300 thousand plus, i also did not say it has failed but it's heading there there is a whine when you drive from 1 to 2 then when going...

Anybody know where i can get genuine nissan parts for a 97 maxima 5 speed overhaul parts, bearings,synchros, seals, i had decided to get a used one but most are really high miles and it's a gamble ,...

I have not tried that,where can i get that at?also my concern is the whiny noise, my mechanic that works at nissan thinks the synchros are worn for the hard 3rd gear shift, and for the whinny noise...
