Yes it is simple, just looking for a way to fix the hose without replacing the whole thing. If replacing is my only option, thats fine, it just looks like I may have to take off extra parts in order...

it's not cracked, i inspected the inlet portion. I couldn't get it in the pic, but when I first looked under my hood, the coolant was leaking heavily from the hose

I know it looks like what I thought was a simple fix by connecting it all the way,, but the leak is coming from the seal of the cooling hose connector

It's leaking pretty bad from the tube that connects to the radiator, but not at the connection to the radiator, The coolant is coming out where it bends at the bottom of the top piece which is about...

Doesn't smell around around the bottle, but I did spill a little while topping off the radiator, so I slightly smelled coolant around there for about a day.

Makes sense. My car is still confusing me though, the passenger side fan isn't working for sure, but it's now driving normal, the temp hand is no longer going above the middle when reversing.
