Illuminated Kickplate install (DIY?)

Anyone bought the kickplates (and service accessory connectors) and did the install themselves? Reading through the install instructions and some of the wiring diagrams makes it look harder than it...

So if you are using those areas as the lift point for the jack, are you just putting the jack stand directly “behind” it on that same rail? Need to do oil change and debating on this or just building...

2018 SR here. Similar issues with the random error. Always happens on my way home from work on this elevated highway on-ramp. Happens randomly otherwise, regardless of speed, time of day, etc.

I'd be more interested in the 2019's if it appeared to be more of a different design but it seems like it's just minor changes with the front and rear lights....
