Amen to that.

When and if that 5 speed gives the dreaded input shaft bearing failure. You don't want to swap another 5 speed in to go through it again. You will have to rebuild. No big deal right? Wrong... Not...

Yes actually a lot.

For starters the ecm relays are located in that box behind the drivers headlight... Notice when I bought the five speed the relay box was destroyed and the relays dangling behind the headlight....

I agree. Any effort that can be made to keep older models off the roads. Same reason why junkyards and ebay are the only places to find ecus. Especially if you have a 5 speed and even more so a 2000....
