It’s odd, for sure...but the timing chain was stretched and the tensioner was at its max trying to take out the slack. Guides were shot, too.

Definitely agree to the above. Only exception being Amsoil, they’ll back up their product. I’ve run Amsoil CVT fluid for 60,000 miles with no issues from the CVT.

It’s hard to hear but it actually does change with engine speed... the knock becomes more rapid as does the ticking. I’ll try changing the oil, I’ve never used anything other than 5W-30 in it. ...

Honestly just looks like someone copied and pasted a Gen 7 review and then slapped a Gen 8 picture on it. Same gripes, most of which I found not to be true about the Gen 7, either.

Most of those things sound about right, but a lot of them you can do yourself and save a lot of money.

For the cabin and engine air filters, they are very easy to replace yourself for a fraction...

If you search around, apparently it's a common issue. The only way to permanently fix it is to remove the LED signal strip from the mirror, open it up, and reseal it yourself with a better quality...
